Lulumahu Falls

A short and easy hike to a beautiful waterfall

If you are looking for a short hike to a beautiful waterfall, I would recommend Lulumahu Falls. It is close to town, off the Pali highway (parking is before Pali Lookout). If it is your first time going there, it's best if you join a friend who has done the hike before: the path is not marked very well, and you may get lost. As a rule of a thumb, follow the stream, it will lead you to the waterfall!

It starts as a walk on a paved road along Nuuanu Reservoir. The entrance to the hike is next to a fence. Although it is a short hike (it takes around one to one and a half hours to complete) make sure you wear comfortable shoes, because at certain times, you have to cross the stream and the rocks are slippery.
